It is great to once again play a first person shooter that has no gimmicks yet manages to keep the player entertained. Playing through this reminded me of the first time that I played Doom, the hesitation to investigate further on down the corridor, just in case you bump into any extra enemies.

It has only been a few developers however, that have managed to cause players to break into a cold sweat. Capcom is the main developer that you may associate with the words ‘survival horror,’ but you may be surprised to hear that there are other developer’s such as Monolith out competing for the horror crown.

There's no doubt that physics processing takes a chunk out of the GPU's processing power, yet gamers demand more realistic physics properties, hence the need for dedicated physics processing engines such as Havok, but what of the next step? Evolution in technology is always going to happen and it was only a matter of time before something like PhysX hit the industry.
