Temp ?
Hi, got my beast today and its incredible, apart from temperature, which im not sure wether to be worried about or not.
- It runs all games at max and at 1600x1200 (CSS, BF2 tested)
- The gpu temperature in Nvidias control panel was around 60 most of the time, which was green and thus i assume fine. However after a good few hours it shot to 80 and appeared in yellow.
Should i be worried ? What is too high for this kind of system ?
Apart from that, this is the best piece of technology i have ever owned, Xbox 360 included. Incredible.
I was also wondering if you guys at BEAST would help me out in the future when upgrading, i know it will be a LONG while yet, but if i were to ask you to help me upgrade my machine and send it to you or whatever, could u help with that ?
Ill be putting review up in a couple of weeks, too busy perfecting headshots on Source atm :p

Yellow is a cautionary sign but the GPU is still not overly hot...however, your BEAST has a few tricks up its sleeves which I'll excite you with now...
If you open up the side of your case (worth it just for the looks anyway) and look in, at the back, next to the rear fan on the far side, you'll see two black boxes with little dials on them. These control the fan speeds of your graphics cards. You can turn your fans up to give more cooling with these dials. Obviously the higher you turn up your fan speed the louder the fan gets but it will give you more control over your temperature.
Sweet, huh?
Yes, we will help you out with upgrades if you dont mind returning the pc. Of course we can arrange collections in such situations.
Let us know if that resolves the issue...

lol, that is incredible.
I had opened it up earlier just to have a look in and its lovely back there :p
ive used the dials now and ill post results in an hour or so. Fan noise is minimal when the dials are on max, so thats not a concern :)
Thanks alot, ill let you know in a little while.

Best to check the coolant level once in a while, some coolants can evaporate (Rare but it happens). I'd recommend a check once a month just to be on the safe side.
