APHROS QX
is based on Intel's Quad Core processor, the QX9650, stock-clocked at 3.0GHz. It is undoubtedly the most powerful CPU on the market for processing intensive data applications and will take your benchmarking scores through the roof. This is due to the fact that when it comes to pure number crunching, this CPU is the daddy.
However, you're not here to crunch numbers so lets see how it does in games. Will it make you game better now? Well, in the past it may have been said that the QX9650 would game slightly better than the E6850, now though, with gaming resolutions getting higher and higher and the processing power needed to power those resolutions more demanding, the Quad core really starts to shine. As the 'need' or more aptly put, the need we're being forced to eat, for multicore processing becomes more apparent, it is forecast that multi core games will start to hit the shelves - Crysis, Supreme Commander and other new next gen games such as UT3 will also make use of quad cores.. There's also talk of physics processing moving over to CPU cores so basically, if you're looking for the ultimate gaming system that is the most future proof of all gaming rigs, then this has to be it.
Performance-wise, as mentioned earlier, the current E6850 will play games slightly better at lower resolutions and score slightly better frame rates but to the naked eye and mouse you certainly won't notice it. When it comes to seriously intensive CPU crunching apps though at high resolutions of 1920x1200 +,(such as video editing, gaming, rendering, encoding etc), then you certainly will see a slight performance increase from the APHROS QX.
Either way, both systems are top of their tree and with an extreme overclock on a QX9650, who knows where it could take you....

This is ample for the job at hand. It has nothing flash about it but just does what it says on the tin. Not fancy in any way, nor anything particularly elegant about it. It'll do the trick, but there's bigger and better things out there.
